Batteries are supplied with this product:

2 x UM-3 (AA) 1.5V batteries

Insert batteries before first use, matching the polarity  
(+ and -) as shown in the battery compartment. Please  
press RESET after each battery change.

CLOCK  
The clock automatically synchronizes the current time  
and date when it is brought within range of the radio  
signal DCF77 generated from Frankfurt, Germany for  
Central Europe (model RM622P) or MSF60 generated  
from Rugby, England (model RM622PU).  
NOTE It is recommended that you use alkaline batteries  
with this product for longer performance.  
AC ADAPTOR  
The main unit has a 3.0V AC/DC adaptor with jack, which  
provides continuous clock projection.  
NOTE Initial reception takes 2-10 minutes, and is initiated  
when you first set up the unit, and whenever you press  
RESET. Once complete, the reception icon will stop  
blinking.  
Inserting the adaptor:  
TURN CLOCK ON / OFF  
To activate the RF signal, press both the and the  
buttons at the same time for 2 seconds.  
To deactivate the RF signal, press both the and the  
buttons at the same time for 2 seconds.  
NOTE The RF signal icon appears when it is activated  
and disappears when it’s deactivated.

SETTING THE CLOCK MANUALLY  
CLOCK MODE  
THE ALARM FUNCTION  
BASIC FUNCTIONS  
The top line of the clock display shows hours, minutes  
and seconds / day. The second line shows calendar/  
alarm time and indoor temperature.  
When the alarm goes off, you can turn it off by pressing  
the button.  
NOTE The alarm will automatically stop ringing after 1  
minute. But after 8 minutes, the alarm will sound once  
more unless the button is pressed.  
To toggle between seconds and day display, press the  
MODE button.  
CLOCK SETTING MODE  
DISPLAYING THE ALARM TIME  
To adjust the clock settings manually without automatic  
RF synchronization, remember to disable the Radio  
Reception first.  
By default, the unit’s LCD screen displays the current  
date and month.  
To display the alarm time instead, press the button.  
To change calendar, language, time, day of the week  
and time settings:

ACTIVATING / DEACTIVATING THE ALARM  
THE PROJECTOR FUNCTION  
To activate the alarm on, press the button. (The alarm  
bell icon will appear to the left of the alarm time).  
The projector displays the time on your ceiling for easy  
viewing in a darkened room.  
To deactivate the alarm, press the button so the alarm  
bell icon disappears.  
ACTIVATING THE PROJECTOR  
To turn on the projector:  
Press the SNOOZE / LIGHT button to activate the  
projector for 5 seconds.  
THE SNOOZE FUNCTION  
To use the Snooze function, while the alarm is ringing,  
press the SNOOZE / LIGHT button to stop the alarm  
sound and activate the Snooze function.  
OR  
Slide the PROJECTION switch to ON to activate  
continuous projection. However, this function will not  
work unless the AC/DC adaptor is used.  
When the Snooze function is enabled, the Snooze  
period will last 8 minutes.  
NOTE The Snooze function will be disabled if the  
button is pressed.  
If the unit is being run on batteries then the PROJECTION  
ON switch does not need to be on. If you hit the SNOOZE  
button then the projection will happen anyway.  
NOTE When the Snooze function is enabled, the Bell  
Icon will be flashing.  
To deactivate the projection, slide the PROJECTION  
ON switch to the “off” position.

NOTE If you press the MEM button now, the maximum  
and minimum temperatures will have the same values as  
the current ones until different readings are recorded.  
THE BACKLIGHT  
The user can press the SNOOZE / LIGHT button at the  
top of the unit to enable the backlight function.  
NOTE The backlight will last for 5 seconds.  
RESET SYSTEM  
The RESET button is located in the main unit battery  
compartment. Press RESET when you change the  
batteries and whenever performance is not behaving as  
expected.  
INDOOR TEMPERATURE  
The temperature is shown in Centigrade (°C). The unit is  
capable of measuring temperatures within the -5°C and  
50°C range.  
SAFETY AND CARE  
Clean the product with a slightly damp cloth and alcohol-  
free, mild detergent. Avoid dropping the product or  
placing it in a high-traffic location.  
MAXIMUM AND MINIMUM TEMPERATURES  
The maximum and minimum recorded temperatures will  
be automatically stored in memory.  
To display maximum and minimum temperatures, press  
the MEM button to rotate through the maximum, minimum  
and current temperatures.  
WARNINGS  
This product is designed to give you years of service if  
handled properly. Oregon Scientific will not be responsible  
for any deviations in the usage of the device from those  
specified in the user instructions or any unapproved  
alterations or repairs of the product. Observe the following  
guidelines:  
The respective “MAX” or “MIN” indicator will be displayed.  
To clear the memory, hold down the MEM button for two  
seconds.  
The maximum and minimum temperatures will be erased.

Never immerse the product in water. This can  
cause electrical shock and damage the product.  
Do not subject the main unit to extreme force,  
shock, or fluctuations in temperature or humidity.  
Do not tamper with the internal components.  
Do not mix new and old batteries or batteries of  
different types.  
Do not use rechargeable batteries with this product.  
Remove the batteries if storing this product for a  
long period of time.
